An operator with a long history of working mainly through trade partners, Classic Collection adopted d-flo’s TravelComms solution to manage trade and direct consumer communications since early 2022.

Challenges

Coinciding with Classic Collection’s first rebrand in over 30 years, the operator engaged with TravelComms to enrich the customer experience for travel agents and direct customers, to enhance operations and to better exploit upselling opportunities.

Solution

Seamlessly integrating with Classic Collection’s in-house Intuitive ‘iVector’ reservations system, TravelComms has markedly improved the quality of the documentation and the communications that Classic Collection has been sending to travel agent and direct customers. The new documentation is hugely more on-brand, rich with content, and far more personalised than previously. Dynamic links within the email communications provide travel agents and direct customers with access to meaningful information and promote ancillary products specific to holiday bookings.

Operationally, TravelComms generates and sends all customer communications – including third-party elements such as LoungePass vouchers – to the relevant recipients with minimal operational overheads. TravelComms has also enabled the automated sending of acknowledgments and payment reminders, processes which were previously performed manually. Secure access is provided via the Classic Collection customer portal and to Classic’s internal staff from directly within iVector. TravelComms is also assisting the operator to promote ancillary sales to direct customers on a data- driven basis.

d-flo's TravelComms platform has supported our digital transformation journey by improving the design and delivery of our documentation to both trade partners and direct customers. We now also have greater agency and control over content with access to the TravelComms system, as well as a team of dedicated developers who manage our requests very quickly.
