London, 18 September 2023: d–flo, the company known for their market-leading travel communications platform, TravelComms, today announced the launch of its new TravelComms Travel App – providing the capability to enable its travel clients to implement fully-customisable and uniquely-branded mobile travel apps.

Underpinned by the recently acquired Flexitravel App and its cutting-edge microservices and API-first architecture, the TravelComms Travel App is an auto-scaling and highly-extensible solution. “After being introduced to the Flexitravel App by one of our clients,” said Colin Brimson, co-founder and CEO of d-flo Limited, “I became aware of its unique capabilities and the compelling proposition of coupling it with our TravelComms platform.”

With the acquisition of the Flexitravel App, d-flo Limited will now be able to deliver fully customisable travel apps that can be automatically loaded with personalised and relevant content using the TravelComms platform. Flexible front and back-ends enable travel businesses to adapt the app’s functionality and look-and-feel to make it totally on-brand and unique. “Travel companies looking to stand out from their competitors will now be able to deliver a much richer personalisation program to their customers,” said Brimson.

As a more cost-effective alternative to a custom-built travel app, many companies tend to look to white-label solutions. Whilst providing cost savings and faster time-to market, these solutions have their drawbacks. “We have worked with a number of white-label travel app solutions on various client projects,” said Brimson. “Amongst concerns over scalability and security, there has been a continual frustration with the customer experience and content loading.”

The launch of the TravelComms Travel App will fill a gap in the industry and provide a compelling proposition — allowing companies to harness the level of functionality and customisation of a custom-built app at the cost of implementing a white-label app. “It’s a white-glove experience at a white-label price,” said Brimson.
